JHE is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Concern (SDVOSBC) whose principals have both extensive environmental and business expertise. The two principals and owners of JHE are combat veterans of the Viet Nam War and have nearly 30 years of professional experience in their respective fields. JHE possesses the ideal and essential combination of business competence and technical experience.

Our experience resides in our staff of seasoned environmental professionals with 15 to 35 years of applied experience in providing solutions for environmental issues. JHE environmental engineers are Registered Professional Engineers in many states and our staff geologists are Registered Geologists/Professional Geologists (by examination) in various states.

JHE provides practical environmental solutions for both government and private clients. This includes direct project management and participatory experience on federal government environmental projects for various agencies in the United States . These projects have included environmental studies, subsurface investigations, water quality sampling programs, and site remediation. Federal government experience includes Brownfields projects for the US Environmental Protection Agency, site investigations and remediation oversight for the US Army Corps of Engineers, environmental assessment and planning projects for the US Air Force, Installation Restoration projects for the US Army, site investigations for the US Army National Guard, and wastewater and asbestos investigations for the Bureau of Prisons (Department of Justice). In addition, we have provided environmental services to many municipal government agencies who typically are custodians of vacant or abandoned commercial and industrial property.

Our private clients include site developers, manufacturing facilities, lenders, attorneys, architects, engineering firms, and owners of contaminated property. JHE understands the typical urgency associated with most work in the private sector and can provide timely yet responsive solutions to these environmental problems.
